They would take a while to eat, giving the body a chance to register its satisfaction and that in turn would prevent hunger pangs and overeating. Completely raw, this traditional kosambari makes a decent, light meal for health and weight-conscious people. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Recipe:<\/strong><br \/>\n<small>(for two, for one meal)<\/small><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Half cup <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ishopindian.com\/shop\/product.php?productid=21668&#038;cat=0&#038;page=1\" target=\"_blank\">yellow moong dal<\/a> &#8211; Soaked in water for about 4 hours.<br \/>\n1 palm-length cucumber<br \/>\n1 green chilli, Indian or Thai variety<br \/>\n2 sprigs of fresh coriander<br \/>\n1 tablespoon &#8211; fresh coconut gratings<br \/>\nPinch of salt, or to taste<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Drain and rinse moong dal. Take them in a bowl.<br \/>\nFinely chop cucumber, chilli and coriander leaves. Add them to moong dal.<br \/>\nSprinkle salt and coconut gratings.<br \/>\nI also added fresh juice from a small <a href=\"http:\/\/images.google.com\/images?hl=en&#038;resnum=0&#038;q=mandarin&#038;um=1&#038;ie=UTF-8&#038;sa=N&#038;tab=wi\" target=\"_blank\">mandarin orange<\/a> for the sweet note.<br \/>\nCombine and serve.
