A must try!<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/mahanandi\/images\/limabeans\/limabeans4.jpg\" class=\"noborder\" alt=\"Lima Beans Curry\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p><strong>Recipe:<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>1 cup fresh baby lima beans (=butter beans)<br \/>\n1 cup finely chopped onion<br \/>\n6 ripe, juicy tomatoes &#8211; cut or pureed<\/p>\n<p>Masala Paste:<br \/>\n2 garlic cloves+1 inch piece of ginger+fistful of fresh coriander+ 1 tablespoon of coconut &#8211; grind into smooth paste in a blender<br \/>\n1 teaspoon each &#8211;  chilli powder, salt and turmeric<\/p>\n<p>For popu or tadka:<br \/>\n&frac12; teaspoon each &#8211; cumin, mustard seeds, minced garlic and few curry leaves<br \/>\n1 teaspoon of peanut oil<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Heat peanut oil in a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat.<br \/>\nAdd and toast <i>popu or tadka<\/i> ingredients in listed order above.<br \/>\nAdd and fry onions first and then the masala paste.<br \/>\nAdd tomatoes. Cook them on high heat to mush.<br \/>\nAdd lima beans, 1 cup of water and the seasoning (chilli powder, salt and turmeric).
