There are not that many exciting deals on this Friday, for after Thanksgiving Sale. None was very exciting to go and wait in the lines before the shops were opened. So, we went for shopping around 9 O’ clock. We finished our shopping by 10.30. These are the items we purchased on this Black Friday:

Barbara of Tigers and Strawberries is doing a project on food magazines of the US and the world. She is asking for opinions, like which food magazines you subscribe, why and which ones you hate etc., She is also interested to know about Indian food magazines. That got me curious about our food magazines.

The only ones that I am aware of are Upper Crust and Tarladalal. There is not one food magazine in Telugu, that I know for sure. Do you know any other Indian food magazines in English or in your language? I would really appreciate your input in this matter. Thanks

Did you catch a glimpse of the new, drop dead gorgeous AGA stove, that Barbara of Tigers and Strawberries, purchased for her kitchen last week?

She is in the process of remodeling her kitchen and posting regularly about it. What a beauty that stove is. Quality and perfection, I am sure, enhancing the experience of cooking – Congratulations Barbara for making your dream a reality!

Fall is here in Boardman, Ohio:

Extreme Makeover- Home Edition with Ty Pennington, the popular ABC series was in our town last week, rebuilding the house for a recently widowed teacher with three children. They completed the whole demolition and rebuilding in 7 days. The location was just a couple of blocks away from our house, with 24 hour local news coverage of their home rebuilding; we couldn’t resist and visited the site on 6th day. Like us, hundreds of people were there to see what was going on and also to cheer the crew and volunteers. I was able to take these two photos; the first one is Ty and the crew trailer parked on the neighbor’s lawn. The second photo is the star of show – ‘The new house‘ and the crowd.
