I am very humbled and honored by your show of affection. Because of you, I am very proud to announce that Mahanandi is nominated in Best Recipes Category as one of the five blogs.
Voting to select the no.1 in each category is open now till Jan 18th. All are welcome to participate and I’d greatly appreciate your vote in this final process. Try as I may to show indifference to this whole process, I can’t help but feel happy that a nomination and an award, a sign of appreciation would bring.

Yes, I saw that book in your gift hamper image on your blog. I guessed it might be by Suvir Saran. I brought a copy few months ago from the library. Liked it and recipes are really good. I also watched some of his apperances on TV on PBS. He seems like a good, decent guy. He also participates in ‘Another Subcontinent'(See the sidebar for link in Forums)culinary forum and gives out good advice. Very approachable. Nupur and Cathy both blogged recipes from his book and wrote good things about his recipes.
Looking forward to Matts(and yours)review of the book on your blog, Stephanie. I know it’s going to be one informative post.

Hi Indira,
I am not a blogger, but a foodie for sure. I am 22, from Andhra living in the US and trying to learn to cook.
I searched all the web for some good Andhra style recipes, yours was the only one that I found. You don’t always go for exotic recipes and instead make simple recipes like dondakaya curry or gutti-vankaya. I can’t tell you how much I have come to appreciate your blog. Thanks so much for sharing these recipes.
