Oh I love the dish you’ve served the toor beans in….it reminds me of those bharanis (ceramic jars) we use to hold pickles – I recall seeing several of those on your blog…such a visual delight 🙂
Oh wow! That picture and the previous post were so cute and fun to read. And to think that the Jihva for next month is the same :). I have never seen Tur dal with skin. Going to look for that in Indian stores.
tuvar dal in its many forms was a pictorial delight and new information. wow! i share the liking for the scoop that resembles a bharani that many have commented on.
Hmmm i dont even remember having these back home.. Nava dhanyalu lo choosanu.., kani naku thinnatle gurthuledu.. poor memory may be!! Can we expect any dish with this tomorrow Indira?
Sometimes simplest is best. These look simply beautiful! I love the pottery dish that holds the simmered beans, too 🙂
